A few useful details can save time
Provide what you know; you do not need to diagnose the fault. Never remove a cover or approach unsafe wiring, gas or leaking hot water simply to take a photograph.
- Suburb and property type
- System type and approximate age
- Fault, leak, upgrade or replacement goal
- Household size and urgency
- Any safe-to-observe error code
Email enquiries may also be sent to info@hotwaterorange.com.
What happens next
A clear enquiry is reviewed before it is passed on
Orange Hot Water is an online enquiry and lead-generation website. The information submitted is delivered to the owner-nominated inbox for review and appropriate follow-up. When a suitable service provider is confirmed, the enquiry may be shared so that availability, assessment, scope and pricing can be discussed directly. Submitting the form does not create a service contract or guarantee attendance.
Describe the situation in ordinary language. State whether there is no hot water, reduced temperature, leaking, unusual sound, an error code, repeated resetting, a planned replacement or an efficiency upgrade. Mention whether every outlet is affected and whether the problem is constant or intermittent. If the system later recovers, include the approximate time involved.
Photographs and safety
Photographs can help when they show the system label, installation position or visible leak from a safe distance. Do not remove covers, touch wiring, alter gas equipment or approach scalding discharge to obtain an image. If there is smoke, sparking, gas odour, uncontrolled hot water or water threatening electrical equipment, keep clear and contact the appropriate emergency or licensed service.
Information for replacement and upgrade enquiries
For a planned project, include household size, bathrooms, simultaneous use, current energy source, available space and priorities such as lower running cost, faster recovery, electrification, quiet operation or reduced upfront cost. If the property is rented, note whether owner or agent approval is available. If it is semi-rural or access is restricted, explain that too.
No phone number yet
The website does not currently display a phone number. This is deliberate while a dedicated trackable number is arranged. Email and the enquiry form provide the initial contact pathway. A phone number can be added consistently to visible content, mobile controls and structured data after it is selected and tested.
What makes a response easier to assess
When a provider replies, ask them to confirm whether the next step is remote clarification, an on-site assessment or a quotation based on the information supplied. For a replacement, request the exact model, capacity, anticipated installation work and important exclusions. For a repair, ask whether the diagnosis and parts availability require attendance before a firm price can be given.
Keep messages, photographs and quotations together. If circumstances change—such as a leak worsening, the system failing completely or access becoming unavailable—send an update rather than relying on the original description. Clear records help the website owner evaluate lead handling and help the eventual provider deliver a more useful conversation.
Do not include passwords, payment-card details, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information in the form. Only provide the contact and property details needed to understand the hot-water enquiry.
For owners, tenants and property managers
State who can approve work and who can provide access. Include the best email contact and explain timing restrictions. If several people are involved, nominate one person to receive the response so instructions and quotations do not become fragmented. Rental properties may require owner or agent authority before non-urgent work proceeds.
For businesses and community premises
Describe opening hours, periods when water can be isolated, the outlets served and any operational impact. Commercial demand and compliance needs can differ from a home, so the provider must confirm whether the enquiry falls within their capabilities before attendance is arranged.
